The word “agreement” also connotes “unity”, “oneness”, “being one” and “covenant”, and they are meant to convey powerful word pictures to encourage us to choose this blessed way of alignment for ourselves.
As long as you intend to be in one form of relationship or the other, be it secular, spiritual, profession, neighborhood or friendship relationship, you will need to cultivate the process of getting along with people. And in getting along, you will face the decision of coming in agreement with someone to get a task done. Having said that, I might add at this point that there are no two people who need to get in agreement more than a married couple. Many wars are started in our homes over issues that don’t matter, such as whether to turn left or right while driving out of the neighborhood even though both streets lead to the same store. If you want to have power in your marriage, then you have to agree to get along without strife or rancor.
